A gentleman from New York stumbled upon Jim Thorpe recently (as so many of us did at one time or another) and the scenery and atmosphere appealed to him. It can be challenging for some to find something to eat, but that’s no problem here in Jim Thorpe where we have a nice diversity of restaurants for a small community. The Flow Restaurant, located at 268 W Broadway, received a very nice review!

Hey JTCC Blogger… you seem to have “forgotten” to mention the restaurant the NYC Blogger reviewed…The restaurant is FLOW :
“Shockingly enough I didn’t know anyone in Jim Thorpe so it was through the good ole w w w that I came upon a restaurant named Flow. But this, to my complete befuddlement, was no ordinary restaurant. What I found was unexpected and served as another reminder that food and culture does indeed live outside of my little island. What I stumbled upon was called the Carbon County Cultural Project, or the CCCP. The CCCP is the home to not only an amazing restaurant (Flow) but also an art gallery and learning center. Art and food in the mountains of PA…..2 birds killed with one sous chef. Exciting.
The center was the brainchild of the artist Victor Stabin (his work the first picture within this post, pretty ill right?) and his partner Joan Morykin. These 2 go-getters restored a 200-year-old fireworks factory and silk mill (it took them 4 years!) into a full scale art gallery and restaurant. The gallery houses many of Stabin’s own works as well as paintings, sculptures, and prints of other contemporary artist and the restaurant…well lets just say I forgot where I was for the duration of the meal.”
Yes, you are correct. On the other hand, the blog entry is linked to the complete article. The idea was to provide a helpful service on behalf of a Jim Thorpe business, which the blog entry accomplished – the Culinary Comments entry has received 136 reads. So it’s best not to immediately think there was some sort of bad intent when in fact, it was quite the opposite. But it’s typical – most people just assume the worst. Meantime, the blog entry now includes the restaurant name.
